AvaTales Wedding Videography

Welcome to the AvaTales website! My name is Ava Kidder and I am the owner of AvaTales Videography. I have always had a love for recording videos. I have been creating family videos with my cousins since I got my iPod touch in 2010. As time went on, my passion only grew. I found YouTube and started posting some of my personal videos on there. In late 2019, my aunt and uncle decided to get married. I asked them if I would be allowed to take videos of the entire process to make them a final video as a gift from me. They said “absolutely.” I was already going to be attending the bridal shower, bachelorette, rehearsal dinner, and wedding preparation, so I took my camera with me to capture every special moment. After the wedding, I sat down for hours creating a compiled video of all the events. They ended up loving the video and sharing it with their friends and extended family. Little did I know, that would be the start of my business. I created AvaTales in early 2020, after one of my aunt and uncle’s friends reached out to me to record their wedding. As most people know, 2020 was when COVID-19 hit and the lockdown started. It was definitely challenging opening a business and working around a global pandemic, but three years later I am still here! Every wedding is so different, and always an adventure. Each wedding I attend I learn so much, and I love getting to be a part of so many couples’ big day. I am so fortunate for the opportunities I have had and the people that speak so highly of me and AvaTales. I would not be where I am without each couple and their families that have shared AvaTales.
